Hi, do you guys know interesting ways for saving money for CLL? I plan on saving around 1000-2000e each month (I work in Western Europe). It still could take around 4 years untill I get the right amount of money. Of course I must to sacrifice consumption a little (almost live like a hermit). How do you solve this problem of saving money?

Hi Magical,

Consider getting a 5-year term loan. Save up for 1 - 2 years; and invest some of it so it's growing.   Never throw exorbitant cash down in its entirety onto this.    Banks love to give money to people who do not need it.  Save up $75g or so, and finance this.  My opinion.  You deserve to have flexibility with your cash.

What's up IFS. Been reading a lot on this forum and finally made an account. Is your suggestion to put 75k down and finance the rest through monthly payments?

I earn about 38k a year after all taxes taken out. I dont have many expenses so I am trying to save aggressively.

I am 27 and hoping to do this with Paley around age 31-34

Looking at 5cm on femurs for best recovery, going from 5'7 to 5'9 would get me to average. My life is great now but  I want to do this and am beyond determined.

I think $150k is a good total price ballpark when everything is said and done(I believe puru mentioned this ballpark in his diary)

Just wanted to say thanks for the diary and I will likely become more active in the next few years.

Pretty much just piggybacking on this thread to inquire about saving and financing ideas/total price etc.

Thanks IFS
