Silicone scar tape may be beneficial, yet there is limited information available about individuals undergoing laser treatment for limb lengthening.

Hey
Can any individuals who have undergone tibia lengthening using external fixators discuss their experiences with scars?
Unfortunately, I had prolonged sun exposure early in the process, resulting in one scar (from a previous pin site) becoming significantly dark reddish-brown.
I am curious about the effectiveness of scar treatments post-procedure, such as laser therapy, etc…
Any insights?
Is it feasible to apply skincare products to the skin (excluding current pin sites) while the fixator is still in place?

I know an individual who revealed his tibia scars two years later. They were nearly the color of skin, but there is a slight indentation in the area. He did not undergo any laser treatment.

I am aware of laser removal for scars; however, I have never tried it.
