I found some Veteran could only sleep on their back for the pain cause by screw with side sleeping from their dairy.

So I want to ask Internal patients that could you sleep on your side?
Thank you.

Hi Raku,

This is an interesting topic to discuss.  I'm on my 33rd day post internal femur surgery and I struggle to sleep on my side.  The issue that I experience is that the incisions that are made into the hip cause muscle soreness and tightness and that makes it painful and uncomfortable for both legs when side sleeping. Additionally, as you lengthen, your muscles get weaker and as a result movement of the hip area is painful.   It takes time to get back to your side but eventually its doable.  I'm hoping in a few weeks I am able to sleep on side or sooner.

thank you dear friend infullstryde. Your detailed feeling is really hopeful and I hope you would get better.
are you always side sleeper?
Do you get some advice of the Doctor?
Does thick pants or soft bed help?

Thank you, Raku.   I think that a soft bed is good and helps. Also, if you can have a pillow in between you legs; this will relieve some pressure.  I have not asked Dr. M; but I may ask.   I believe that with time and excercises and just by keeping the legs moving that eventually all the neccessary healing will come and i will sleep on my side again, ha ha.   I am always a side sleeper; but I have surprised myself... I am now a sleeper on my back too. ...lol.  I'll update tomorrow and have a good rest of your day.
