I know externals are not popular for pure cosmetic LL purposes and seem more painful than nails.
However, I prefer a method that also has some advantages like less risk of rotational deviation and particularly is used and improved since around 70 years ago in Russia and around 35-40 years ago in some western countries. The technology, literature, doctors etc. simply know the method better and how to evaluate, foresee, correct in place, avoid, and deal with possible complications.
But I am scared and one of the reasons is if I cannot sleep with that parafernalia of frames.
So my simple question is : can you use a knee pillow to put between the legs and try to sleep lateraly?

I can't answer you exactly because I had external monorails which made sleep very easy.
But I can guarantee you that externals, even Ilizarov, are way less painful than internals.

Are you sure or being ironic? Everybody seems to think that internals are less painful, specially here and doctors websites (those doing internals but even though they must have some scientific and medical ethics, no?)
