Hi Guys,

I'm going to do lon femur surgery soon. What was it like with you? Most patients have reported that they had terrible pain for the first 2 weeks (despite blatant painkillers like Tramadol, Tilidin etc.). The pain wouldn't really go away in the 3 months in the hospital, but the body gets used to it.

What was it like with you? My doctor will anesthetize me completely up to my legs, I will be able to see and feel normally upstairs. I can even see how he's going to operate on me.

I have concerns about the pain and being alone because I come to a foreign country without being able to speak the language, etc. I will definitely not give up my stay because I have a goal of at least 8 cm in my head. However, I have heard from the doctor and team that they have had patients who have reached less than 8cm and even dropped out because of the PAIN. This thought kind of scares me because, as I said, I don't want to leave the hospital under 8 cm under any circumstances!

How were the first days/weeks after the operation for you? Have you taken any special means to accelerate bone growth? What I also found disturbing was that a great number of patients lost up to 20 kg in these 3 months because of all the stress and pain.

You can also write to me privately and sorry for my crap english. Write everything here how you felt and did before, during and after your operation.

Good luck and health my crazy people.

Never do LON on Femurs! It's much more painful, and most important of all has increased risk of deep infection, which can cost you a leg. Do yourself a favor and save up for internal lengthening with G-nail or Precice 2. If you don't you will regret it...

Hm okay but do u have any proofs? I saw in 2 hospitals many patients were in the process of making femurs. I only saw one who had side effects and he then got a tibia free of charge and the femur was fine again with a few centimeters of growth. However, this patient was 42 years old. For the infection you have the physiotherapy team who take care of it every day. So why the hype you could lose your leg? Have you personally seen someone lose their leg or have you written down your fears?

Funny, whenever you ask for evidence, people go silent. Guys, if you're scared, go to the hospitals and look at the team, the patients, etc., but don't write your fears in indirectly here.

Agreed, a lot of people complain about fake diaries/reviews but don't present any evidence. This is totally against the significance of this forum. If someone stumbled over here, I believe they'd be interested in LL.
While, I genuinely appreciate people helping others and making them cautious, but, all these negative reviews without evidence unnecessarily scares off people and gets them uninterested.

Who is your doctor? butcher dr halil ? butcher dr yunus or dr butcher yuksel ? Making a LON femur is torture and insanity. A good doctor wouldn't do that cosmetically. I recommend reading Activatedxx's diary. He made  femur LON. Honestly talks about how hard it is to sleep and get up (including the toilet) with the lon femur also if you are not going to be a 2nd cll (tibia ll) you will look very bad.

I wouldn’t worry about the immediate pain. From the painmeds you will feel fine. The true pain comes from the tension later. First few days/weeks will be ok. Not a fan of LON femur though, problematic about pin site infections that can turn into deep bone infections and perhaps muscular problems where the frames inserted in the long term.
Anyways, good luck on your journey all the best

I have a life, so I'm not constantly watching this forum site! But just the fact that you have decided to go for LON femurs proofs that you haven't done enough research on this forum and other places. Multiple interviews with western surgeons who are highly expiernced, have stated that it's unsafe especially for femurs, and there is a reason why only crappy turkish non experienced surgeons offers LON Femurs.

Here you got your proof:

And this guy who did LON on Femurs with a terrible outcome because of the much much higher chance of getting a Deep Infection, that screws you up possibly for life!

And if search more around this forum, you will find many bad outcomes from LON on femurs and turkish doctors!
