I have been coming here for years onto this forum to read up on stuff and see what people say about CLL.  I have seen threads that are years old...like 3,4, even 5 years or more with people talking about CLL and wanting to get it done.  Just wondering what's holding people up for 5+ years.  If it's financial, and you're saving up, I do get that.  But it's really interesting to see people on here keep talking about wanting to get it done and it's been years.  I'm just wondering...what's with the delay?  You could've been multiple inches taller years ago, and been enjoying that new height...but they are still just talking about it.  Chime in, because I can't be the only one who's curious about members who are still chatting about CLL years on end and not actually doing it.

its very hard financially. I've been set on getting it since 2022 but I was still in HS at the time. I just graduated college and I will have the funds sometime in 2027. I also think younger people are most often the ones who are willing to do CLL because the culture is a little different now and the average amount of time it would take someone in their 20s to save up for CLL would be like 5 years and that might be fairly generous.

Totally get it money is the number one thing that holds people back

Honestly you are being smart about it better to wait and do it properly than rush into it and end up stressed during recovery

If 2027 is your target use this time to prep keep your body in good shape read diaries learn the pros and cons of femur vs tibia and be careful with expectations because 8cm plus 7cm is a huge total

When you get closer start a thread and a diary so people can help you plan and follow your progress

id prob be fine doing 8+6 I was more obsessed with 180 when I was younger but 178+ is all good heights. we'll see what I can do at that time. im doing 8cm femur first which most people seem to be able to hit if they try. hopefully I can get all 8.3

what do I need to prep my body

I literally cannot do it until feb 2027 for employment reasons, I likely will not have the funds till later in 2027. my savings rate is approx 42k/yr. I already have about 15k. I need about 70k to do the surgery more or less, I might take a 10-30k loan to help out. Also might consider PMAX if it's back by then. Currently April 2027 is my target, but im not sure of my financial situation at that point so it might have to be pushed back a little.
