If you’re talking about Dr. Assayag, he’s legit and you’ll be fine. You’ll maybe lose a little explosive athleticism but unless you’re a pro athlete it doesn’t matter.

Is this the go to guy currently? I was actually planning on going to Korea initially to Dr Donghoon.

Assayag is great, but I'd say the top 5 are:

1. Paley
2. Birkholtz
3. Rozbruch
4. Reif
5. And then you have a fight for 5th

Is there a reason why you would go to anyone else? U.S. based comparison. Are their waiting lists quite long?

I walk very good and normal. I don't know what will haooen in the future, for sure the legs feel more unstable and you have some random pains if you stand for lomg etc but nothing important. If you are ok with diminished sports capabilities and some risk.about premature arthritis, you are ready for LL. Otherwise avoid id. But walking weirdly is not an issue if things go well.

You think the people you talked about this surgery with knows anything about this surgery? 99.99% of the population doesn't know anything about this surgery beyond what they see from a 10 second clip on tiktok. It's a year long full recovery, and more if you have complications to get back to normal. Between the time you are allowed to weight bear and that ~1 year mark. You're relearning to walk so obvious you'll have phases where you're waddling around.
