I did a LATN lengthening surgery on my tibias earlier this year (2023). I lengthened 6.2 cm. Upon completion of lengthening, I had an internal fracture nail inserted into my tibias on the same day my external frames were removed.

I recommend you consider this route (frame removal +nailing), as it will shorten the time you are wearing frames, get you weight-bearing sooner, and your bone healing/ recovery will likely be faster than if you wore external frames.
