Hi! I'm a reporter for The Daily Beast based in New York City. I'm looking to chat with a few guys who have undergone leg lengthening surgery for an upcoming story (you can be anonymous and use a pseudonym if you'd like). I'd love to set up calls with some people into next week. Message me if you're interested and I'll follow up with more details. Thanks in advance!

I havent yet done LL but I think I can speak for this community when I say that we would really appreciate if you went more in-depth or provided more information regarding why people get it. It would be nice to show the statistical disadvantages and societal disregard that short men (and even women on occasion) are faced with.

I think most people think this is a procedure for crazy people, and maybe that is mostly true now because it's so fringe and demonized, but the calculation to do it is simple and obvious to any truly short male with correct knowledge of the procedure.

It was also be nice to dispel all the misconceptions around the safety of LL. Most people think it's crippling when the truth is the surgery is very safe with very high satisfaction rate when done with responsible surgeons.

I've seen a few pieces on LL and I don't think many of them dive into this. I think the people here would appreciate coverage that meaningfully contributes to the de-demonization of CLL.
