Hey guys,

I am from Thailand planning to get LL done with Paley possibly this year but I am having some problem trying to get information out of his assistant (Angelique Keller) throughout our emails. I am new to this forum so please bear with me if anything is wrong with my post. I know that Paley is probably one of the safest options to go for but this conversation with her assistant worries me a lot. Also I won’t be including my full name and email address in the screenshots for my own privacy.
So to begin, this was the first set of instructions that I got from her:

Weird communication from Paley

I had questions regarding some of the points in this email so my reply was:
Weird communication from Paley

The reply I got was this.
Weird communication from Paley

The information was already on the previous email she sent me and didn’t clarify anything further for me which had me slightly worried at that point but I thought maybe my questions weren’t clear enough.
So I went back to read the information again very carefully and came to understand that the online consultation via Zoom would take place on the date that I booked (say August 10) instead having it in-person, then I would just have to do the in-person tests and lab consults when I actually travel there for the actual surgery. I could not get any clarification on this so I just tried to ask her the dates of the actual surgery as well so I could plan ahead. I sent her this email:
Weird communication from Paley

She replied:
Weird communication from Paley

I was like OK, but I wanted to know the actual dates or at least an approximation of when so I sent her another email asking that:
Weird communication from Paley

This was the reply i got last night:
Weird communication from Paley

This was basically the same as the previous email she sent me and it seems like she is either disregarding my question or i wasn't being clear enough. At this point I was extremely concerned and decided to make this post. Maybe it’s their procedure for the patient to finalise their booking for the consult before even discussing about the actual surgery but they could just tell me that directly instead of these weird replies. I am just afraid that if I did go through and book the consultation for August but then she tells me the next available surgery will be in 2026 or something like that. I have sent them another email asking when the surgery would be available and hopefully I get a better reply. Sorry again if the post is long, if anyone who went with Paley (or others) could help me with my situation I would be so relieved and grateful.

Just email him saying

"I intend to get [insert your surgery details: bilateral, which segment, and so on here] done before [insert your deadline date here]. If I book a consult in August will I able to get this surgery by my previously stated target date? I am worried that Dr Paley's surgery calendar might be booked for many months or years and that after I pay for this consult I would only find out that the surgery date is too far away for me. Can you please indicate to me approximately when I can get surgery after my consultation because this information is important to me before I book the consult?".

Make it more polite if you wish
