I was curious on how it works if you have Iliotibial band syndrome and your knee hurt when running for a certain duration of time. Takes a few days to recover for it to be back to one hundred Percent. Will this effect you if you get LL done on the femurs? I know certain doctors perform an it band release and wanted to know how that works like do they perform the it band release months prior to the LL op? I’m pretty sure I got IT band syndrome on one of my knees and wanted to know how the process would work, if anyone who has experience dealing with this topic and has gone through it can help that would be very much appreciated.

They perform the release at the same time that they break your bones and insert a rod, usually, for femurs.
