There's no way I will do over 5cm in one segment due to safety concerns, but doing less amount on 2 segments seems fine from the research I've made so far. 3.5cm Precice femur and then 3.5cm external tibia. Do you think I could get back to playing sports?

Yeah its way better to do than 7 cm in one segment in terms of recovery and proportion. Maybe even do 4+3 to get the it even more correct in the tibia femur ratio.

Yes, I think more people should think like you.
I'm going to do 4cm internal femur and 4cm tibia.
I think it is better for mobility, proportions and recovery.
