The only reason I taking a second thought on betz-becker and not be 100% sure is because of the IT band, in some diaries I even read that after doing LL with betz , they when with another doctor even they told them that the IT band was released and was not all true.. so ¿whats the deal? I know betz doent do that but becker do it 100 in a good way? With betz you start ealk faster but IT band provoems after 7 cm.. in grece you walk late but recovery in long is better.. junt don’t know.. and need to choose as soon as posible and that is a thing…

Thoughts???

Every single reputable limb lengthening surgeon except Becker does ITB release. It’s definitely a red  flag. If you go with Becker, you should go to another LL surgeon to get the ITB release done separately.

Is ITB the main concern for everyone?

Not that he has been a hair transplant surgeon, his CV is clouded with qualifications of plastic surgery, hair transplant surgery, radiology, etc ??
And how he got chosen as the successor of Dr Betz? Germany produces some of the finest doctors and particularly in the field of LL. LMU for example is very well known for it's ortho department. How come no one else got to carry the torch forward?

You just get to see the good cases, but has anyone seen any complication cases? How were they able to treat them?

I am astounded that enough people don't seem to care about this.

No there are other red flags besides ITB release including:

- BetzBone is an inferior nail to Precice
- Regularly allows patients to lengthen risky amounts like 10 or 12 cm
- Is not an experienced orthopedic surgeon, he’s a “cosmetic surgeon” who was doing hair transplants before Betz took him under his wing
- Has been sued before for medical malpractice (well Betz institute). Don’t know if he is actually guilty of anything but still a bad look.

Why dun you have online consultation with Dr. Becker?
As what i know, they do ITB release now, Patient can ask for it.

It's not a real ITB release. He call's it a "soft" ITB release or some BS like that. Every other reputable surgeon doesn't do it this way and they agree a "soft" release is no substitute for the real one.

If a LL.surgeon doesn't make itb release then he is not a respectable one. You wrote it on your own.
It is plain stupid to choose a doctor for LL and go to another one to do what the first one should have already done.
So Becker is not a good choice for LL, especially with the huge amount of money he wants.

You have lordosis and wide legs. You haven't reached your goal "just fine". You generally don't get those with a real ITB release.

I'm not saying you won't end up okay with sufficient time and more PT, but you aren't there yet.
