My recovery was going slow and steady. I was using 1 stick for walking 5000 steps a day, going up and down the stairs, doing seated squats and all PT exercises with 1 kg ankle weights.
2 weeks back I guess I overdid the squats and cycling, got really bad pain in my right leg quads. Thought it'll go away in 2-3 days with rest, icing and NSAID (same thing suggested by docs).
But in 2 weeks time I am still in excruciating pain - it hurts while doing anything, even while Im lying in bed. I cant even lift my right leg up.
HONESTLY, IT FEELS LIKE I HAVE GOT THE SURGERY JUST 1 WEEK BACK - its so painful.
I dont understand how my muscles can atrophy/ lose all their strength like that in 2 weeks time? The precise nail seems absolutely fine in xray. Im so confused, I dont know what to do

I am posting to close this loop.
Turned out there was no short cut to getting better. I had to really power through the pain to get all my strength back, doing basic PT exercises, day by day. It has taken 2 months to recover.
But honestly, its quite bizarre how my leg went back to like post-op days at the 8 month mark!
Few things helped, I guess -
- Having NSAID at night
- Wearing thigh compression at night https://www.tynorstore.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/Tynor-Thigh-Support.jpg
- Instead of resting, maximising on walking time
IT WAS NOTHING BONE RELATED. BE CAREFUL WITH EXERCISING IN CONSOLIDATION PHASE, TAKE IT SLOW AND DONT TRY TO OVERDO
