Right now it feels like it

- temporarily feels good

- temporarily makes the muscles feel more "awake" if they were stiff right after sleeping

But I don't know if there are any additional pros or cons of it

I don't know if the idea of "helping to break up scar tissue" is real or not though it sounds good and I would hope it is true

What seems to be the consensus on it?

The massage gun craze is interesting and I have one myself (though I barely use it).  Just know youre putting a powerful jackhammer on your body.  Dont use it aggressively or on areas you shouldnt.  Def dont put it on your spine or your front hip area.  And stay away from limb-ends (where connective tissue connects to the bone).  Should be mid-muscle if you use it.

Have one, not necessary but sometimes helps a bit. It's on par with taking a hot bath to loosen up the muscles a bit in my opinion.
