Why does fibula get bowed towards tibia? and is it reversible?

Hi!

So, I've seen a bunch of tibia post-surgery X-rays ( you can check them out in the links below), and in most of them, the fibula kinda is bowed towards the tibia. My question is: Is this supposed to happen? and will the fibula straighten itself during consolidation or not?

My thoughts are:

It always does aim inward as it goes downward, as the knee is bigger than the ankle.  And with nothing to hold it together in the middle, the bottom piece goes out and the top piece goes in due to pressure and tension.

Btw, did this happen to you, and did it fix itself during the consolidation?

I am confused because when I checked the x-rays belonging to Dr.Lee's patients, this phenomenon was non-existant. ( the method was LON Tibia)

Yeah the parts reach out to each other during consolidation.
