Guichet I know there was issue of a non union (Unicorn) but what is the reason Betz is being considered a bad surgeon now? I mean he has so many good outcomes per old forum diaries (including APotheosis) so what happened that led to his fall from grace?
Extremely dishonest and predatory. Like that one time he posted a video of a guy doing insane footwork "8 months after leg lengthening", who had clearly never had the surgery done at all.
If you can see the video it's just obvious, literally everyone was calling him out on it. From proportions to the way he moves to his agility hes been moving that way his whole life.
Apo lengthened almost 20cm and he is totally fine.
He jumps and runs very normal.
The issue was the broken and bending nails, but I heard
they improved the nail now.

Man are you serious? Did you read the diaries of MasterHY and Daigoro? Also, there are several other diaries which end abruptly.
Betz has several lawsuits against him going on from ex patients. There was recently an article in the German newspaper "Die Zeit" about it.
Also the clicking nails have to be considered obsolete technology. They frequently lead to nonunion and they don't have a reverse feature like the Precice.

yes I am serious, asking a serious question because I have not read any botched up case by him and since I was considering him but when I saw the bad things written about him here naturally I wanted to know the root cause, yes I am aware of the limitation of the nail but my question is about the surgeon, the Betz nail was at one point quite innovative (being high weight bearing) but is not now because of stryde, so that is not a negative for Betz. I will check out the diaries you mentioned and the news article. Thanks.
Update: I read the diaries and yes that is scary stuff, thanks for informing me, Betz is off my list now.

I dont know much about Betz, so I will stay out of this discussion.
Apotheosis/Shahn does not run and jump normally.
He is messed up for good.
