Is it possible to work as a programmer while undergoing LL? Has anyone done that?

The thing is your mind would consume too much energy and experience a lot of unnecessary stress when your body needs all the help in the world to heal your broken legs. Work can wait.

True that..the thing is I recently changed my job and it will be difficult to take leave of absence..The main killer thing for me to do LL is the time it takes..6-8 months ..it is pretty hard to put life on hold for that long..that for me is the tipping point..not money or risks at this point

That's not long at all. Just play games, watch movies, listen to classical music, anything that can relax your mind would be better during that period.

Well I think your productive work hours will be way shorter than normal. Imagine how much time you'd need to do physio, daily hygiene with limited mobility and etc.

Ill be working during lengthening, no choice.

I dont think that would be a big problem, it also might even help in keeping mind busy

I worked while doing LL. It's not easy. You will only get 2-3 hours of work done a day.

Is it possible to work like 5-6 hrs a day after lengthening phase is over?

I will also have to work after lengthening is over and I'm wondering if it will be possible to do office work 6-7 hours a day. Has anyone experienced that?

Maybe.  A few fellow patients in Beijing successfully worked full-time jobs remotely during LL.  Some people could not handle that, though.
