I heard it's pretty common for xray measurements to be greater than the actual amount lengthened, but what's the usual discrepancy between the two?

My final measurement was 82mm on femur , and my doctor told me I did the full 80mm because the nail is designed to move 80 mm in total .

BTW , they do not measure the actual gap between your bones , they measure the extended part of the nail .
