Thank You, I was thinking of doing together as it could possibly be a lot faster then waiting a year but yh I will do them a year apart now.

Quote from: Ghostfish on October 03, 2020, 05:06:23 AMHi Gman
I think doing two clls is doable in theory only if they are done to a safe extent. Doing them separately with at least a year apart will be absolutely a better choice. However, your job is the problem. Even with a femur cll, it will take a long time to be able to stand for 8-10 hours a day. You will need at least 7-8 months to be able to do that with only femur lengthening, although it is very likely you need more than 7-8 months.
So I recommend you to do femur cll first with a consideration of 1 year time off. If that turns out to be fine, you can consider tibia cll afterward. Remember that tibia even needs more time to recover than femur.
Good luck!
Thank you so much. This really helped a lot. I will follow your advice and do the surgeries a year apart. And I will give it a thought, as I could possibly work from home if I am not able to talk a lot.
Thank you once again!!

I did about 60/40 femur/tibia, not quite what I was hoping for but had to slow down tibial lengthening a lot towards the end.
I can go about normal daily activities just fine, but some things like squatting can be difficult. Haven't done much running but hoping to get back into it. We'll see how it goes. At this stage and if I get the rods out soon-ish, it'll have been a few years so I'm pondering maybe getting some kind of trainer since I feel like I need to re-train my body to do some of this.
At this height, I'm never the tallest person -- and that's OK -- but I'm taller than average and at this phase, I'm still kind of enjoying the different perspective on life that can bring. I don't think I ever had a neurosis like some people here do.
Hi, so if I’m right you gained a total of 11cm with 2 surgeries? If so that is really awesome, I am hoping to follow your path and go for 11cm. If I may ask, can you stand up for long hours, for example 8-10 hours a day? Or is it painful? Thank you for replying !!
Quote from: FormerKidd on October 03, 2020, 04:29:33 AMI did two, and yes -- you should absolutely do them a year apart.
Also why didn’t you go for the full 2 inches in tibia. And gain a total of 13cm in height? As gaining just 1 inches in tibia won’t make much of a difference??

Is 13cm gain achievable in 2 surgeries, 3inches plus 2 inches? As gaining 1 inch in tibia won’t make much of a difference
Quote from: m7liam on October 03, 2020, 01:10:16 AMPlenty of people doing 2 surgeries. One doing it with me at greece. Going fine.
Evolution did 2 surgeries.
How much is the person with you lengthening? I want to lengthen about 13cm with 2 surgeries...

It is absolutely possible but I want to warn you that a lot of people don't make it. You need to be very flexible and stretch constantly, and most people aren't and/or don't stretch enough.
It wasn't unusual for a lot of people I met to have to pause or slow the rate of distraction towards the end, and that can be a real morale killer not to mention costly in terms of time and money.
(Not trying to deter you, but I think it's important that people have reasonable expectations.)

I did over 1.5 inches in the tibia. I could have tried to go a little further but... see above.

You know what that actually really helped thank you so much. I will start stretching from now on. I just turned 19. I think I have strong bones/ legs. But I’ll be extra careful and drink more milks etc.

Last few questions sorry, can you stand for long hours, 8-10 hours possibly without having any trouble? Also how much did the surgery cost you In total and which surgeon, thank you have been a lot of help !!

Hi Kidd,
Did you do femur and tibia one year apart nor three week apart?
