Why not to do both surgeries simultaneously? Im planning to do 3.5 inch femur and 2.5 tibia lengthening to look more proportional.

Sounds like you might need to do a little more research. 2 surgeries femurs plus tibia

This procedure is very taxing on the body and often the muscles simply cannot stretch that far in the alloted amount of time.  If you want to max out growth, you need to do the surgeries separately.  I can't speak for all doctors, but I know Paley and others I've looked at list different limit for simultaneous surgeries (10cm max) vs separated ones (13cm max).

Also, be aware that (a) you can't get to 3.5 inches on Precice/Stryde; the max possible is just over 3 inches and (2) some doctors will not let you go past 2in on the tibias.

If you really want six inches, you're going to have to do 3 or 4 surgeries over multiple years.

I’m thinking of doing 2 surgeries like I said 3inches in femurs and 2 on tibia. If I may ask which surgeon did you do your surgery with and how much did it cost.

Hi FormerKidd, I meant 3.5 cm femur and 2.5 cm tibia. Total 6 cm height gain. I am currently 170 cm and I am proportional right now. If I lengthen more that 3.5 cm femur, it will look very ugly. Given the new measurements do you still think it is not possible to do this simultaneously 3 weeks apart?

6cm should be reasonably doable with simultaneous surgeries, yes.

Paley then it must have cost you a lot. Hopefully it’ll be the same result maybe not the best for similar with a cheaper surgeon.

It is possible in the sense that doctors will allow for it

I don't know if it is possible in the sense of whether your body can tolerate it

Best is to leave at least 1 year in between, but considering you have a rather conservative goal I d assume it is possible

I d also go for 6 femur and 4 tibia to spend less time wearing external fixators. 6 femur is alao probably safer than 5 tibia.

But do talk with a doctor, I am only regurgitating what I have heard or read
