It is the effects of practice, skill improvement and discipline. I can even squat now with my feet touching the ground though unsteady in balance.

@Op
You did 8cm´s on the tibias and you are seriously thinking that you´ll get back anywhere close to your pre-op shape?

Everything that I´ve read so far suggested that LL has a strong negative effect on your perfomance in sports, that´s what every experienced Dr. will tell you as well. A chinese LL Dr. tested the shape of his tibia patients a couple of years after the frame removal and his results were that the ones who exeeded 5cm´s, only got back to 60-70% of what they had before the surgery.

It is just practice effects, dude?

Before, I was fat and lazy. Now I train hard. Of course, I will become more athletic. Buzz off dont bother
I shall stop posting in these forums lmao, such pessimistic people with low perserverance! As I said, I already perform better in sports, even though my athleticism is nowhere near before. It is a result of skill improvement and drills.

There're two types of people. Those who bounce back after a fall and those who whine and whine and don't have the willpower or discipline to take it to the next level dont bother I think you sound like the latter. There are patients who recover and jog after a stroke where docs said they can't make it. Are you a doctor to make such statements? if not, I think I better not trust your non-medical and non-specialist predictions. My operating surgeon and my surgeon in Australi has told me I should recover most of my athleticism in terms of sport. One doctor told me I should recover to the same level recreationally but competitively I might suffer a little.

The difference between pro athletes and keyboard warriors like yourself who don't have a lean/fit body is discipline, and hundreds of hours and thousands of hours of hard work and practice.

One month after my frame removed, I was walking well, climbing steps. Two months after, I was doing lay-ups.
Three months later, I was doing three-pointers. I climbed up a mountain, and it was only 30 minutes before I had to pause awhile becuase of calf soreness, and continue.
One year later, I will compete competitively. Cheers mate dont bother continue being a couch potato as most people in Western countries are dont bother

Oh this is my last post, I have given my Australian phone number to those who are worthy of contact. Cheers pessismistic rubbish =D

To the admins, please delete my account, I have already randomised my password so I can't login to see all this negative rubbish haha.

Came for advice on my next procedure, NOT negative rubbish like this overweight man is giving. dont bother I am doing well athletically, and I will do better. Full of rubbish. After doing yoga, I have regained 50% of my flexibility and balance. I can do many poses which require balance on one single leg which I could never do before.

before: no coaching, train once  a week.
After: coaching, train everyday for many hours.
How can you not improve in your sport? Jesus Christ.. you are naïve. I am catching 3 times more rebounds than when I was 8 cm shorter.

Chill dude, we got your point.

However, you can't say that LL improved your sports ability just yet. From what I see, practicing, coaching and traning improved your sports ability. However, I do believe that in a near future your new height will be an advantage in the mentioned sport. Just take your time to "fully" recover.

There is one thing on this forum which is kinda annoying.

Two guys here on the forum who came to persuade us not to do LL and who themselves suffer from either severe BDD (as one of them claimed) and another one just a wierdo.

This talk about athletisim is absolute rubbish.... "But hey, could you squat 100kgs afterwards? Because if not, than it's not worth it".. Sorry, but I rarely see anyone in the gym squat 100kg, 50kg or squat at all. Athletisism is not based on your squat performance...
"But what about running and joggin?" I personally dont jog and I know too many people who dont jog.

Suddenly everyone on planet earth are elite pro athletes and if you are not atleast olympic level runner or novice power lifter squatter, it seems that people here decide that this surgery is not worth it.
Most of people around the western world are either overweight couch potatoes or just skinny guys. There is a reason of the obesity epidemic in the western world ya know...
So please.. Stop with this hysterical almost delirium like obsession with athleticism... If he is happy with his athleticism, who the fk are any of you guys to judge? Just like any other dude who have done this surgery here... "First let's see you post a squat video..."... Why? He can live a happy life without squatting a single kg.
