Nobody is judging his satisfaction with current athleticism but if his LL surgery actually helped him in sports.

Yes after LL you still can enjoy sports and other activities.

And yes its cool aussie that surgery gave you motivation to work out and improve your own health and overall take care of yourself but you said that you were lazy before the surgery so maybe you just didn't know your performance pre-LL.

Several points to be made categorically:
1. I doubt that LL will improve my performance if I trained super hard before and after LL.
2. My improvements are because I train much harder now to regain my athletic capabilities. It is mostly because of skill improvement - more accuracy, faster reaction, better footwork - even though my athlecism suffered, I play better.

You cant stop bigots on this forum like how you cant stop Pauline hanson. It is ok, I just wanted to update that hey, I did LL and hey, I have better sports performance than before, I can go up and down stairs quickly with heavy luggages, etc, but my only problems are top sprint speed forwards (lateral movements are great), endurance, flexibility and balance, and of course the power of my jumps.

I am logging out now, all the best. I will probably check up again on another account before I book my ticket to Serbia or Moscow for my next operation. I have given some members my Aust. phone number (I don't have WhatsApp).

Let me explain the rebound point - I think it is because of drills and also because I start off 8 cm higher, and still jump to the same height as before. So, I reach the top faster, if that makes sense.

Cheers.

Ur right about the couch potatos point. Even though I am just 6', I don't feel as insecure as before. At 6' I can easily pwn many westerners in a sport, just because I have a better physique (even though I am shorter). I don't know, but those who are 6'+ on the streets are typically obese/fat/un-athletic/skinny... Such a waste of a good height.

Words can have a negative impact on people. Just google "psychology attitude sports performance"... even the mere mention of negativity impacts you, as much as you try to ignore it. it impacts below the level of consciousness...... implicitly. and that is why I am quitting this forum.

These words will be a hella lot worse for those who don't even believe in themselves. I believe in myself, and so I won't be affected by all this trash (as much).

These couch potatoes making the comments do not stand to lose anything - they are just casually making those comments out of boredom or their free time... in contrast, those who have done LL or are doing LL have a lot to lose psychologicaly from such comments unless they know that these comments are made by lay-persons with no specialist or even medical knowledge.

Well aussieboy, good luck to you.

It seems like only your mental state is holding you back, and I sincerely hope you find peace with yourself.

@op
I never wanted to offend you, what you are saying just heavily contraticts with everything I know about this procedure. Most people need a lot longer to get back to perform sports again after the frame removal. Just look at RGKEY or Sweden.

I have to say that you remind me of a user who got banned over a year ago. Perhaps a couple of people will remember "Itsmylife". He did 8cm´s on his tibias and also said that he´ll performe better in sports post-op (especially basketball) due to the polymetric training he wanted to do after the frame removal. He even had a similar style of writing if I remember correctly, he also used clone acounts after his main account was banned by the admins. The time frame would fit as well, because he had his operation more than two years ago.
Perhaps this is just a random coincidence though. Anyways I didn´t want to offend you with what I wrote and If I did I apologize.

It's the same guy. I guess Bagirov wasnt such a bad choice after all... Or maybe you are crippled now?

Quote from: aussieboy on July 21, 2016, 03:33:22 PMbut that's probably cause I train like anything from 3 to 8 hours a day, 3 times a week... endurance and balance really suffered though. and it is kinda uncomfortable to stay in half squat position as is common in basketball. gotta get used to it. I am only 4 months after frame removal, so I don't know. I started doing plyometrics yesterday.

mostly insecurity........ =/
but.. I do not feel as insecure now that I reached 6 feet. Many guys may be taller than me,but they cannot defeat me in any way as they are fatter, and less healthy or strong as me.

Hey Aussieboy! How are your dribbling skills? From what I can see, you're a pro at dribbling s**t!! You're a weak, weak man to still feel inadequate at 6 feet.. You would have to be the most self absorbed, superficial person I have seen on this forum.... And this forum attracts the cream of the crop.

You said going to leave and yet you keep posting..

I completely agree with this

You see countless guys who are 6'+ who clearly just do not bother whatsoever to take care of themselves athletically or diet wise. They walk around basically coasting through life because of their height with their bellies hanging over their trousers. Idiots always say to shorter guys 'you are compensating' no its called working out and improving your physique! Guess what id train with weights if i was 6-2 as id look even better!

Other ridiculous statements you hear from tall guys 'youre stronger as i have to lift the weight further' no im stronger because im physically stronger than you and i eatb5-8 meals a day! You eat like a cat walk model and you are just genetically weak! Sorry your parents and aunts and uncles have always told you 'youre a big strong boy' but the reality is youre not strong youve just began to believe your own hype too much and your ego cant handle reality. A quick look at the heights of strongman competitors will tell you that this statement is utter bull£hit as well.

Athletic abilitys are subjective id hazard a guess most guys on here are not that athletically active anyway so what difference will it make to your quality of life!

Has anyone here ever heard of a woman rejecting a guy on the basis of not being able to squat 250kgs? Curl huge weights or deadlift large amounts? Nope never is the answer! 'Oh id date that guy but he doesnt have 19" upper arms' said no woman ever!
