Hello, I am a 22 year old Indian Male born and live in the UK. I want to get limb lengthening surgery due to multiple factors. I hit 178cm at 14 years old and since then I’ve genuinely not grown, maybe I’m 180-179cm in the morning now but at night time after the gym I’m about 178cm when measured on a stadiometer barefoot.
Due to me not growing since 14. I have been going through some sort of identity crisis. It’s annoying how I went from the ‘tall big guy’ in school as I was well above average height for my age all the way to now being considered too short for most girls to date me. And no it’s not just girls from dating apps, also IRL.
I am an avid gym goer for 2.5 years. Love to lift weights, look big and being strong. I currently SBD 170, 120 and 220 kilograms respectively as a non powerlifter. However I’m afraid if I get the limb lengthening surgery I will never reach those numbers or beyond again. Should I try to max out my genetic limit as possible before getting the surgery so muscle memory will make it easier to rebuild muscle after getting it?
I got quite long legs for my height, short torso, long limbs. But my arms look really long for my height so I’m not concerned about them possibly looking disproportionate.
My desired goal is about 182.5-183cm so just about 6 foot barefoot. I feel like this height it will be barely noticeable I got the surgery from proportions. Should I go for taller if I do get the surgery? Or would this height be good.
Ultimately my question is, should I get the surgery?
