It's nearing my planned LL date, I have planned to lenghten my Tibias a rather conservative amount of 4,5cm - 5cm in Turkey in June during my summer break from University. Accoridng to my calculations, I should finish lenghtnening and have my fixators removed in early August. Classes start in September but I'm planning to take another month off, studying at home and return to my classes in October.
Do you reckon this is a realistic goal? Is 4 month enough to return to a somewhat normal life? I suppose I will still be reliant on crutches 4 months post surgery since I don't wanna risk any fractures.
Edit: For context, I'm a male in my early 20's
Thanks for the reply! if I understand correctly you did femurs with Precise 2,2 right? How much did you lenghten and when were you able to return to normal daily routines such as going walking up/down steps and walking normally overall?
As I'm only lenghtning 4,5-5cm the lenghtning shouldn't take more than 2 months, which gives me 2 more months to consolidate. That may be enough time then, if no complications occur!

Walking up/down stairs is OK as soon as you can use crutches, but carefully. I'm talking about a handful of steps, not flights of stairs. For that, you need full consolidation. If you work on your muscles as soon as you end distraction, you can walk OK as soon as you're done consolidating.
Appreciate your input! I will opt for 5cm and hope that no complications set me back. I think this is the best compromise to fulfill my duties as a student. I have a plan B incase my healing is slower than expected, I could take a leave of absence from University until November. That would give me almost 5 months post surgery.
