I wanted pure external but I am changing my choice, like you said 11 months in fixators must be pure hell.

hi morningstar,

i hope you find more strength. you have crossed the halfway mark and only have 33% to go. you are an inspiration to people like me who are also considering the same method and doctor and your progress gives me hope personally. keep it up and it will be over before you know it! keep busy and keep focused on PT too, you can do it +6 cm tibia LATN with dr. Dimitrios Giotikas

btw how much are you lengthening now per day? did you keep the same or reduced?

Hi, canterk, thanks for the good words.
I keep the same 0.75 mm per day.

Actually both doctor and PT center chief says that I am doing well but I still have a doubts. Without any warmup my legs are really stiff. Every time I need more and more efforts and time to put my whole feet on the ground. So now I've even started to think about stopping earlier. PT guys and head nurse says that I should split my plan into 5 cm and 5.5 cm marks. Today I am exactly on 4,5 cm. When I'll be on 5 cm (next Friday) I'll check my condition and decide what to do next. The same at 5.5 cm. I know that everyone says that it's possible to fix ballerina after all. But I also know my body well. I am genetically not flexible and probably it may be very difficult task for me. Also I give a lot of hopes into nailing. I hope my condition will improve well after that.

Regards

Don't worry...it is normal to get some (hopefully mild) ballarina foot during the lengthening especially towards the end. it improves later with physio.

One problem after another... I've got sick. Weakness, headache, 38.5 temperature, nausea. I did a Covid rapid test today but it was negative. I'll do again in a few days. Hope it's only some kind of flu, but still, this moment is the worst to get sick.

Hi, man. Thanks, better. Temperature is almost normal but I have few pinsite infections. But in general better.

Hi

I think you should stop at 5cm and focus on the consolidation and recovery.
Listen to your body.

77 day: 5 cm 4 mm. I have slight ballerina so I've got shoe lifts from PT center to walk easier. My condition is far better after the flu. Also infections are almost healed. Sleep is perfect, I think Melatonin spray helps a lot (one evening I sprayed too much so I was sleeping for 11 hours and I was still sleepy for all next day +6 cm tibia LATN with dr. Dimitrios Giotikas ). Knees are stiff and it's difficult to extend legs (when they are already extended and warmed up, then it's easier to bend them and extend again). I hope my condition will increase well after the nailing. Also I have nailing date - November 23th!
