If an intramedullary nail like this was created for limb lengthening, it would be a big step forward in a technique that at the current state compels people to make too many sacrifices.

Yeah, but it isn’t fully absorbed before two years. It is long lasting, so I guess that if they put a lot of work into it, a weight bearing bioabsorbable nail for limb lengthening can be created.
