Anyone here objectively very attractive in facial features, prior to surgery? If yes why did you do the surgery?

At least this is what I believed going in, but honestly given how long it takes to recover from the surgery I don't think it's worth it unless:
1) You did it at the start of the pandemic.
2) You're young enough that a few years wasted isn't that big of a deal. (Like say you are building up your career and not spending too much time enjoying life anyway)

Once you're off walking aids you still walk like a cripple. Once you have a normal walking gait you still have to wait for consolidation to run lift things without risking your nails breaking. Also, there are visible scars all over your legs for a long time. Once these scars heal, you need to get the nails removed and open up the scars all over again.

By the time you fully recover from the surgery, can run and be athletic, and are "normal" again, you could have hooked up with tons of girls as a normal short man. I think dropping $80K on the surgery is not a big deal if you can recover fast, but wasting years of your life dealing with the aftereffects of lengthening is sooo not worth it.

This is why external tibia is an option I am considering. Once it’s done, it’s done. No need to go back to remove the nail. 5cm tibia is not as bad to recover from too compared to 8cm femur.

Quote from: BelowTheMean on July 06, 2021, 03:31:04 PMIf you have a ton of leg hairs that can obscure the scars, then maybe it's a consideration? Otherwise you'll be self-conscious wearing shorts for a loooong time. I'm super careful and self-conscious about the 1cm IT band scars on each side and those only show up when I'm sitting down with shorts on. I've also seen some very scary pictures of tibia scars after infection from external lengthening. Those are on another level. I would never wear shorts again if I had scars like that all over my lower legs.

but as long as the scars don’t become keloid type they can be removed thru lazer. Also sooner than internal because internal you need to wait another year before second surgery which reopens scars.

Quote from: BelowTheMean on July 06, 2021, 11:44:39 PMI haven’t done too much research on that yet since like you said there’s no point until after nail removal. I thought scar removal surgery still leaves a “dent” in your skin tho.

As far as I recall Keloid is the type that leaves a dent because it is not surface level purely.
