im fairly sure the vast majority of people doing CLL are under 168, however this forum is a small sample of those who end up doing it.
It also seems to be true that these are the best heights to do LL (in america) from like 162-170. I would say 170 is probably the best height to do LL from because you go from noticeably short to dead on avg if not a little above avg. 178 is a good height. However for those lower like me at 165, 173 is still a whole different world as you go from being a "short guy" to a guy who is a little short. Not to say under 162 you shouldn't do it, but going from like 160-168 essentially brings you from a failing grade to an almost not failing grade. I would say definitely 2LL if you are under 162. Even at 165 I am almost sure I will do 2LL if not a rebreak to hit 180. Not becuase 180 is essential to live, but becuase I feel like ive been put through so much bull and fought so hard that I have to have everything I want to make it worth it.
I think those above 170 are more concerned with status and attractiveness and other things which is fine and valid especially if your below avg, but its the same medicine for a different disease. it is WAY worse to be outlier short than to be shorter than average. If I was 173 I'd feel a little bummed but I could go about my life and make up for it in other ways, once you are at this height other factors dominate your image, height is just one piece of it. At 165 I feel like i'm serving out a prison sentence with humiliation ritual torture. I would say legitimately unlivable for me personally. Pretty much dont care about anything anymore except rushing to get to 173. If LL was not an option there is a serious chance I would not still be alive. I dont think most 173s are having that thought, even most 165s arent but I'm uniquely troubled.
Are males around and under 160cm phased out of LL?
