Now I've already decided that I'm going to do 9cm regardless of what people think of my proportions. So the point of this thread is not to gain your approval on my proportions but to show you that one of the most perfect bodies in the world has a shorter torso and longer legs... As a fan of Arnold, I was browsing pics and getting inspiration.. All of a sudden, my LL brain switches into high gear and starts analysing his proportions... Turns out that Arnold has long legs in comparison to his body... And he is considered to have one of the most aesthetic bodies in history. I've never heard anyone say that Arnold's legs are too long for his torso or even looked at him in this respect until I aquired an LL paranoia of proportions.. Below is a comparison pic of me and Arnold (makes me look at my body with disgust haha). His proportions are very similar to my mock-up pic of a 9cm gain. His arms are definitely longer, but the overall perception (and that's all that matters) is that we look very similar (minus the muscle of course).

It just proves to me that LL'ers scrutinise proportions wayyyy too much and that people in the real world can have longer legs and a shorter torso (or a negative ape index. Pick your poison) and no one thinks twice about it.

Quote from: Ozymandias on December 11, 2015, 07:38:20 PMI would be careful with the perspective. Arnold's pic seems to have been taken with the camera at the height of the thighs, and in your picture is probably at the height of your chest/shoulders, so your legs (specially your tibias) look shorter. I might be wrong though.

Having said this, if I do 9 cm, my proportions -from an aesthetic point of view- would be the last of my concerns.

My picture was taken at hip height. Arnold's was taken approximately just a tad lower (which would make his legs look slightly longer). I have checked out line ups of him on stage where the photo is taken from a distance and his proportions are the same though. So it's still an accurate depiction.

Clavicleboi: yep I completely agree.
