Personally it didn't truly hit me until I was about 16 I'm pretty confident guy on the verge of arrogant but around 16 I don't know was like a boom hit me like a punch to the face that I'd always be 5'4 looking up at my friends my co workers girls I liked but could never be with because I refuse to be with a chick taller than me( when you think about it it really fking restricts you man). Think until then in my head I had always thought I was still gonna grow to be 5'6 at least hell my fathers 5'10 the bastard so yeah that's when I got real depressed whenever I looked up at people. And idk if anyone else like me's got a young face but I'm not the most muscular dudeĀ  on the lean side with a young face gets pretty fking tired of being thought of as a 15yr old cause of all that and my height

Heightism didnt start affecting me until 2011. It happen whhile I was working for this company. I was very good at my job..and exceeded expectations of my collagues. Long story short.. I was the ONLY person that got laid off despite my performance. And the only difference was tha I was shorter than anyone else. Im not giving so much detail. But it is when I realize how much height and appearance matters. And I googled height discrimination and discovered the term heightism.
