No one has LL done because they want to make some 6 foot + requirement on Tinder.
But the life long experience of being treated worthless by women based solely on your height will destroy your sense of self. You cannot avoid that many men will do LL because of past experiences related to women.

Finding a partner and improving our value on the dating market is the most fundamental biological force driving us. Growing up and being told repeatedly that you are worth 0 will mess anyone up. It is unavoidable.

It makes me think of something interesting though:

Are shorter or average males who grew faster when they were young (i.e. tall or average in early teens) less likely to have height neurosis than shorter or average males who grew slower (much much shorter than others in early teens).

It could explain why some people who are average or close to average have height neurosis and others dont. If you end up being close to average height in your early/mid 20s but you were within the bottom 1% when you were age 12/13/14 and had terrible first romantic experiences it could explain the inducing trauma related to height.

In a few words, no.
Being short is a real problem for a man that can't be solved with pills or acceptance as the drawbacks of it won't stop.
The disadvantage of being short can only be changed with LL.

That said, if someome is more than average and still has height neurosis then yes, a psychiatrist is the only solution as surgery won't solve something that is not a problem in reality but only in someone's mind.

If you are truly short and society views you as short, then no it can't be resolved with therapy. Combine this with true height dysphoria and therapy can't address that regardless of what your height actually is.

If you are short and viewed as such by society, even if therapy can help you change your mindset and feel better about being short, the fact remains that you will still be short after that therapy session ends and the negative re-enforcement will still exist and people will still remind you of it / treat you differently so you will still have things that fuel your neurosis. If you are like 185-190 and you have height neurosis then because it's all in your head and you aren't actually short, then therapy could help.

I disagree.
Short isn't specific measurement. For some people even 5'10 can be already considered "short".

Psychiatric therapies do help and u should always consider them since height neurosis is a form of BDD which is treated by psychiatrists with either therapy or anti-depressants.

Will it change how people perceive height and their overall opinion? No
Will it help you find inner peace/acceptance towards yourself? Yes

There isn't guarantee any treatment will work, especially CLL

Give anything up about psychiatric treatments.

Once a male has grown short, psychiatric treatments won't solve his mental problems cuz he is still short even after treatments of some kinds.

To tell the truth, only solution is to do LL or commit suicide to get rid of height dysphoria.

Height does decide a male's life, mostly or even wholly.

Damn, whole psychiatric world absolutely rekt after one ingenious sentence. Who would have thought that psychiatric treatment won't make u taller but help you with self acceptance? Scam

Fkin christ... You should get some psychiatric help

Height doesnt decide about your life even in 1/100 of how some people here make you want to believe it does.

Amen. I miss my lowly life of spending time with friends, running, and working out. Now this guy and I are chained to our beds for the next two months. In a foreign country.

Quote from: Activatedxx on May 18, 2021, 07:03:57 PMFunny thing is when you make the jump and break your legs you realize how unimportant being short is when you’re crippled
