This thread was a stupid question, i didnt feel like it merited a serious response.
I was hoping the OP would have stopped wearing lifts simply because some random guy on the internet said some random pseudoscience bs, of course your not going to get shorter with 1 inch lifts. If anything if there were really permanent contractures they would make you taller because your heel wouldnt hit the floor and its like you were pemanently on your tippy toes. If the OP would have thought it through he would have figured it out. But he decided to post a stupid question, so he got a stupid response.
Mate, perhaps my question was stupid but it wasn't born out of stupidity but out of paranoia. I'm terribly afraid of becoming shorter as that would mean my unhappiness and dissatisfaction with my body would increase even more. Surely you must understand this fear, as you have also registered in this forum. Anyway, I don't mind being the butt end of a joke as long as I can live without the fear of lifts making me shorter, that's a great relief. Cheers.

Have you already tried looking for help with this? From what I recall reading here, you're not short short and you live in a place like France. It sounds like seeing a psychologist could really help you, since you're not far away from a good height.

No, I'm not the guy from France. I think you mean theophilo. And yeah, I'm not very short but on the other hand there's guys who were 178 (5'10'') and actually did LL and there was Vader who allegedly did LL at a starting height of 6 feet, so I'm not the sickest dude out there haha.
Wearing lifts won't make you shorter, but I wouldn't wear them for extended periods for a few weeks before tibia lengthening, as it could potentially make distraction feel more uncomfortable. I wouldn't be surprised if it influenced an earlier case of equinus contracture either.
