Hi,

Returning to that topic. The opportunity arose to do the surgery by ISKD. What do ISKD on the femur recommend for 7 cm or LON tibia 6 cm?

ISKD is an outdated runaway mechanical nail that has no rate control and is banned in most places in the world. If you want non-union then use ISKD. One of the worst nails in history. Most places stopped using it like a decade ago.

Do LON tibia 6cm for sure

I'm talking to Richard Luzzi.
I'm thinking of making LON in tibia and femur (5 + 5) everything gives around 230k reais in dollars about 45k

Wow that's cheap! Will he do it with precise or stryde one day?

stryde and precice are far from reaching brazil, unfortunately. The closest thing to come (already in 2022) is the fitbone.

hi, imo 153cm is very short so you need the maximum length you can safely get. Go for femurs 7-8cm with Precise or Stryde. External in the femur is like playing with fire (too risky for infection, stiffness etc). Good luck.

Quote from: increase on April 17, 2021, 05:14:10 PMHi,

You could help me make a decision. I'm Brazilian and here in my country only LON is available in the femur now, in 2022 it seems that nail fitbone will arrive. I don't have a lot of financial resources but if I save and take out a loan I will be able to make the femur in October 2022 with Giotikas for Precice. What would you advise me to do LON here in Brazil (currently I have money to do it) or add more money and make the femur next year with Giotikas or even fitbone here in Brazil?

Thank you friends

I have a sugestion, when opening a new thread, avoid "can you help me". Try to use more descriptive words.

For example, this tittle is much better: "I'm from Brazil, interested in Giotikas with Precice, or LON or fitbone in Brazil, can you help me".

It helps people to read the forum.
