How common is nerve damage and long lasting chronic pain within some of the patients here who have done this surgery? Obviously I’d assume chronic pain doesn’t come in until way later but maybe someone here has some information to give?

Around 25-30% of patients that get the nail inserted through the knee get chronic discomfort/pain.

Not done consolidating, I did a conservative amount of length. The only thing I feel is sore muscles. I’m slowly adding more strength training which is trying to rebuild everything again. My ROM is about 95 percent. My hamstrings were always the stubborn muscle, even prior to surgery but it’s the same as it was pre surgery, except I gotta reach two inches lower. I’m working on more flexibility. Not sure if any type of pain will surge later but I’m doing good as of now.

Literally never heard this. I’ve heard cases slightly similar on the tibia but never through the femur.

if u lengthen too fast and u develop nerve damage it will last awhile until it heals. after removing the frames my nerve lighten up but still get pins on top of my foot. im not sure about chronic pain but theres stiffness that u have to deal with but its not pain or anything.

It also depends on the doctor you chose to do it.If the doctor you did the LL procedure is crazy and irresponsible it is very possible to have nerve damage and pain for the rest of your life!
Personally,i did the LL back in 2019 with dr.Yasser Elbatrawy in Egypt and even now i have many problems.I am not the only one because most of his patients have also many problems after his irresponsible work.
I wish God will punish him in the worst way!
