Yeah, totally. My height neurosis disappear when i'm with my family where every dude its about 5'7 and every woman about 5'1.
In fact, if you start watching how friends groups are made, short guys tend to get along more with guys their height and the same to tall guys, and short girls/tall girls. You could say its about how unconfortable is to talk with someone a head taller than you, but there is surely some kind of "feel of beloging" there too. I guess is the same feeling of "not belonging anywhere" if you are the shortest guy or girl every place you go, aside of the universal beauty standard of being tall of course, which have more ponderate weight in this topic, naturally.
