Does increasing breadth of chest by doing workout helps to look better in terms of body proportion?
I want to know that because I have a plan to go for limblengthening within next 3-4 years. I have neven been to gym. If a broader chest offsets the imbalance in upper and lower body height visually , I will start working out as soon as possible.

Hi, I have a 100 cm chest, 50 cm thighs  and 76 cm waist, at 171 cm tall I looked good, now at 179 cm tall (8 cm on Femurs) I look a little narrow up top, and I am reluctant to wear shorts as my legs look to thin, and my lower legs look too short.

Shoulders are THE MOST important to workout for looking wide on top. Chest is secondary

Agreed with shoulders but I think second is back then chest. But it’s pretty close.
I think filling out your legs with muscle is more important for having a natural look. The worst possible thing is these long stick legs carrying around this huge upper body.
