Dr. Donghoon Lee (Gyeonggi-do, South Korea) DALRI 2019 Update

Dear LL Forum,

I am interested in doing my LL surgery with Dr Donghoon Lee in South Korea but have been unable to contact him or his team for an initial consultation. I have sent a message through the official whatsapp, wechat, email but to no avail. Can anyone who has successfully been in contact with his team give me some advice?  I am willing to travel to korea this summer for a physical consultation as well.

This is Dr Donghoon's latest pricing for 2023. It seems they do not offer long term hospital stay anymore due to an influx in patients which is a shame

Thank you so much for your new update. If they didn't offers staying at the hospital anymore. What's option do they have instead of hotel? Is it like goshiwon?

They have partnerships with a couple of hotels nearby that offer long term stay. Alternatively some patients choose to just book an Airbnb nearby. You will be spending most of your time in their rehab Center anyway.

I would like to know what kind of symptoms there are in revision surgery patients at Dr. Donghoon's hospital.


I'm not good at English and I can't find a thread, so could you tell me if there is any?

wow...Dr.Lee price is almost comparable to prices here in the USA. I feel that leg length surgery is becoming more and more of haves and have not.

KOrea really focus on looks and height and the culture is very competitive and superficial.
So I can I understand the backlog of patients.

Here's the cost of all the additional services that are not included in the surgery price:

[*physical therapy*] including 10% VAT
- Regular therapy:  179,910 KRW / per session(30mins)
- Hydrotherapy (underwater PT for PRECICE):  245,910 KRW / per session(30mins)

[*Dr follow ups/x-ray*] including 10% VAT
- LON:  97,548 KRW
- PRECICE:  89,100 KRW
- PRECICE (Both tibia&femur for quadrilateral lengthening patients):  137,346 KRW
- LON tibia / PRECICE femur:  145,794 KRW

[*ERC Rental Fees*]: 6,000,000 KRW (around 4,625 USD)
- Deposit 3,500,000 KRW will be refunded later on
- DON'T accept credit card / *WIRE TRANSFER or *CASH only

[*Caretaker*]: 140,000 KRW~ per day
- *CASH only (Please exchange enough KRW before being admitted to the hospital)
- You will need a caretaker for at least 6 days during your hospitalization since you will not be able to move properly after surgery.
- The caretaker does not speak English. Please accompany your own caretaker/guardian with you if necessary
- While you will definitely need a caretaker during your hospital stay, you may not require them for the entire lengthening period. But if you wish to hire one after your discharge from the hospital, we'll help you to do so.

[*Wheelchair Rental Fees*]: 3 options (40,000 KRW / 200,000 KRW / 500,000 KRW per month) depending on the type of wheelchair

[*Hospitalization Room*] *per day* including 10% VAT
- 4-bed room: 165,000 KRW
- 3-bed room: 187,000 KRW
- 2-bed room: 275,000 KRW
- single room: 440,000 KRW
- VIP room: 605,000 KRW

- We have some affiliated hotels and the cheapest one costs around 67,000 KRW (around 54$) per day (NOT including meals). Please find attached our partner locations below.
Of course you can search other places on your own like airbnb to stay in Korea.

Anyway, if I'm only choose Femur Lengthening, Could I also correct my deformity cases in my Tibia. That deformity is like a Bowleg (O shape leg).

I contacted them in January 2026, and the main cost was the same as in 2023.
*LON (tibia)--> app. 42,000 USD
*PRECICE Femur-->app. 68,000 USD
*PRECICE Tibia-->app. 77,000 USD
*Removal surgery--> 12,000 - 16,000 USD
Only the rehab fee seemed to go up a little.
The reply to my English inquiry was also faster than I expected.
