Hey I thought about something that I think nobody has picked up on.

Guys in Holland/Scandinavia are known to be the tallest, but you never hear girls say "Dutch guys are so hot" or "those Swedish guys are so fit". If country comes into play then it's usually Italian, French, Spanish, etc (i.e. countries where guys are much shorter, if not the shortest in the region).

Just wanted to say that because it seems EVERY thread always has guy that writes a "in Sweden" or "guys in Denmark" or some BS 'mommy never hugged me' post (you know who you are).

Quote from: Uppland on March 15, 2015, 06:18:32 PMWell I live in Sweden so it's relevant.

Do you hear this from people who have actually visited France/Spain and Holland/Scandinavia? Because I hear a lot of people talking about how "beautiful" us swedes are -so much that I've begun to find it annoying.

They aren't talking about you (the men), they are talking about the woman (probably the reason why you are annoyed?), Scandinavian women are undoubtedly more attractive in general. Most of the guys are tall/big but also fat, pudgy, pale and boring as fk. I live in London, and never heard of a girl use Danish, Swedish, etc to positively describe a male.

Good examples would be Chile and Italy. Many people consider those places to have many attractive people but it's only 1 sided — Chile has attractive women but guys are ugly as fk and Italy has attractive men but women are ugly as fk. Again, Scandinavia we're only talking about the women when it comes to describing as your people as 'attractive'.

My point was how so many people here point out the Dutch/Scandinavians as if they're winning a race of attractiveness. Like bro, are they really?

Glad to see my thoughts have at least broken the scandinavian mold.
Quote from: YellowSpike on March 19, 2015, 01:39:03 AMWomen like TALL (first and foremost), dark and handsome. Oh well...two outta three's not bad (especially since I'm at least 5'8" now, which is decent).

You still think tall trumps the other 2, like tall & dark > dark & handsome? I still think dark & handsome is better, maybe both are true depending on the girl.

Quote from: hadrian on March 20, 2015, 03:19:45 AMWell traveled but you haven't been to heavy hitter countries like China, Indonesia, India, Philippines, Mexico? Sounds like you like to believe you're well traveled but in reality you've only been to one or two regions. With such a substandard travel history some humility would be in order on your part. I have been to tall regions and short countries before and I can recognize my experience and standards regarding height are basically useless in some countries. Thus I don't impose my height standards upon others.

If you don't care about the heights of other countries, how about you just put everyone that isn't from the US on your ignore list? Seems to me that's how you want to live your life; bissfully ignorant of the rest of the world. If the presence of the more vertical members here enrages you to the point of churning out post after post with passive aggressive intent targeting us, it may be better for your mental health if you cut us out entirely.

If you live in a higher-density city in the US or UK, or probably in any west European city then you probably have a good dose of experience with people from far away countries. I've been to all of those countries you mentioned apart from China (but I've been to Hong Kong). I still think the standards are blown out of proportion and trying to include those places is like including Africa in world obesity standards.

I'm a multi racial guy (if it wasn't for my height I'd be the poster child for pro mixed-marriage groups), born in a country that I've never really been to after birth and lived all over the world. I don't think it's ignorant to basically say "who gives a fk about those countries, we are talking about places that matter?", because in reality who really gives a fk about the Maasai people.

Quote from: hadrian on March 24, 2015, 04:15:14 AMYou have the clavicle length of a 12 year old boy and hips that could birth a small child, so don't make me laugh when you think you're the apex example of a human male. Apparently your bodily maturity also matches your mental maturity, only a child would honestly claim that giant countries like China, India, and Mexico don't matter. Let me guess, I bet you think you're superior to these people as well? For a guy that doesn't care about countries that don't matter, you sure do spend a lot of time dissing the tiny population of Scandinavia due to height jealousy.

I live in a large city and I fully acknowledge that there are many foreign peoples here. This is why I can go to a grocery store and encounter a dozen guys my height or taller, then go to a store in a different part of the city and feel like I just found an uncontacted Pygmy tribe.

What you said doesn't make any sense, maybe you should get your eyes checked. I take back the "poster child" thing I said yeah I was just being silly but everything else I said was true.

I wrote this Scandinavians/Dutch thread because of all the comparisons made with Scandinavians especially when describing attractiveness. This is a CLL forum and I thought it was important to say that height is not everything, but to you it sounds like it is. But you're right, I think between the two of us one of us definitely has the mental capacity of a child "Dutch guys are so hot"

Also of course I have height jealousy, why do you think I'm going for CLL and on this forum in the first place? I think it's you that needs a bow tie brah, maybe it'll make you look smarter.

Disregarding far away places doesn't make you ignorant, those places that you talk about probably don't think about us either. Hey are there any mexicans here? no? my point exactly.
