1. If you did the surgery, did you find you ended up spending most of your time in bed or at a desk?

2. I was thinking in bed of what to do for entertainment. I imagine the easiest physically to do is a tablet.

I haven't done the surgery. Currently in my regular life, I use a laptop connected to a 55 inch 4k TV (used as a monitor) and I control it with a wireless keyboard/touchpad combo. I'm using it now in bed to type this. It's pretty awesome to be able to have a full computer from bed while leaned back against pillows.

Depending on the place I choose to stay at, it may not be practical to get a 55 inch TV in there.

What would you recommend for your entertainment setup while waiting? Any thoughts on this?

I recommend a good parental internet blocker for youtube, some freeweights with a benchpress and crutches, and a stationary bicycle. Get your ass off the internet and recover / exercise your legs and body.

You'll want to keep your legs straight most of the time, so definitely in bed rather than a desk.  Everyone in Beijing just had a laptop on one of those "breakfast in bed" tables, which worked out great.

Are you really asking about a entertainment set up for CLL? Entertainment in bed setup during LL (TV connected to laptop + wireless keyboard

Bro just use your laptop and watch Netflix all day, that's all you'll be able to do anyways, bringing your own TV obviously is not practical but some places do already have their own TVs in the rooms.

Don't just focus on entertainment though, you need to still work out and stretch.

Yeah, I'm actually 100% serious.

There are 4k TV's under 400$ https://www.amazon.com/s?k=4k+tv&ref=nb_sb_noss_2 and I could set it up right before undergoing surgery and then hook them right up to my laptop + control with the wireless keyboard/touchpad combo on your lap.

400 bucks to make the 90 days alot more enjoyable? A 55 inch 4k tv connected to a laptop vs just a 15 inch laptop screen on your lap is a huge difference. If you try it out in bed, the difference between the two experiences will immediately feel enormous. Could maybe sell the TV afterwards to slightly recoup a little bit of the losses.

It doesn't mean I wouldn't stretch/exercise just like a laptop doesn't stop people from exercising.

Though if the place already has a decent TV to plug my laptop into, it's w/e.
