Exogen is FDA approved to stimulate bone for faster recovery or non union and I read mixed reviews. Is this device snake oil or does it really work?

I'm currently using it for my delayed union. No doubt i see improvement in my callus.
My left leg has finally bridged, post removal 3 months and the right leg is improving.

If we did the surgery outside the USA (such as with Dr. Giotikas who doesn't use exogen), what are the best ways for USA patients to get the exogen device afterwards?
Anyone know? I am thinking of doing tibias precise 2.2 next year with Dr. Giotikas in Athens, staying a few months, and then coming back home to the USA

It should work. However, it is a doctor prescribed orthopedic device so you cannot just order it yourself.
I am using something similar called the Orthofix PhysioStym and it is working. It was prescribed by my doctor and the $5000 price tag is covered under insurance.
The company that created Exogen suggest using it once a day for 20 minutes. I read online that people are using it twice or 3 times 20 minutes sessions each time for faster bone growth.. has anyone used Exogen more than once a day?

That's right. I got the Exogen Device with 250 treatments + (90 extra) so 340 treatments in total and I do it twice a day in my right leg which is into a delayed union and no doubt i see improvement.
How'd i get it? My doctor prescribed it to me and I had to contact Bioventus (The company that makes exogen) and they hooked me up with the device in less than 48 hours.

It's not so hard, As you mentioned, If you do your surgery With Dr Giotikas then you could ask him to write you a prescription for the device and then you can contact bioventus, the company that makes exogen.
Would you mind explaining how this device works please?
