if i were OP's family i will encourage her to do so. taller girls, unless they are over 175cm are much more attractive

I don’t think being taller does much to boost a woman’s attractiveness. If anything, there’s probably a slight preference for shorter women in general.

That being said, there may be other reasons not related to dating where height could be beneficial for women. For instance, I imagine taller women are taken more seriously in a business / professional setting.
