Quote from: r2d2 on October 08, 2023, 04:09:42 AMHey @MyEvolution thanks for the diary. 2 questions:

(1) Did you do arms? If not how do you feel about the proportion? Any comments?
No, but my reach could use some
(2) If someone could rebreak at 5'8 to get to 5'10 would you recommend it to them? Is the whole downtime of the process x2 worth it?
Def worth it, i would go for 6’2 6’3 as long as you are an athletic person low bodyfat %
It’s transformative

Heck i’m even debating going for a 3rd round to get to 6’3 but idk if it’s worth it anymore cause my turso wouldnt be good

Quote from: dingdongditch on September 09, 2024, 09:38:28 AMYeah, I agree. it's a bit suspicious to have no closure statement, and he did have many complications. I think whatever people on diaries might claim to do, we should just stick to the safe guidelines of 7 + 5 cm. Even 6 + 4cm isn't too bad to get the best results. I'd rather be an inch shorter and not have to suffer from leg pain my whole life.

Bro the guidelines are there because people are lazy. You’ll see. Once you start you’ll notice most people do not stretch!!! Even when they are told to.

There is nothing wrong with going for the full 8 x 8
The only reason i couldnt hit the full 8cm in tibs is because my right leg kept healing way too fast, & in order to continue I would have had to rebreak a 3rd time. I wish i did it, woulda gained an extra 1cm. But if you put in the work 8 x 8 is safe and possible

Don’t sell yourself short

After much consideration, I have decided that I will be going for another 8 cm in my femurs to reach a final height of 6 foot one (street height of 6’2). I am currently on the waitlist, awaiting the precise, max, weight-bearing nail.

Am i not already happy?
I am very happy with my current height. The goals I saw after when I was 5’5 have been achieved: I no longer suffer from depression, life has completely changed. I live a happy healthy normal life

Why do it?
The same reasons we all do it, to gain the benefits of being taller. Believe it or not, the benefits of getting taller continue up until you hit 6’4, after which there isnt anymore real benefit for being taller.

Dating life:
All things being equal by dating life has transformed from when I was 5’5 until now 5’10
Every 3 inches that I grew, my dating pool, increased dramatically. It is sad to say, but the world we live in today, I know that another 3 inches will also dramatically increase my dating pool. No question that a 6’2 athletic male will attract a higher tier dating pool then his equivalent 510 athletic male

Is this a responsible choice or am I being greedy?
I’ll say there are two main things to consider here
1. Finances, am I going into debt in order to do this?
2. Proportions, does my wingspan allow for it?

I am thankful that when i was 5’5 i was so driven to fix this issue that i started a successful business of which, to this day is still paying me. I have more than enough saved, I have a big investment portfolio + a bunch of real estate investments + more than enough cash to fund this & some.

Proportions: My wingspan is 5’10, my legs current make up 57% of my total height. My wingspan being 5’10 is the main reason i am able to do this again. After much research, i discovered that before doing LL, my ape index was +6 (5’10 reach, at 5’4 & 1/2) which made me look even shorter than I was!! I had gorilla arms, which if you scroll back to the start of my diary, you will see this is evident in the video.
According to my research:
•   Starting Height: 5’10” (178 cm)
   •   Wingspan: 5’10” (178 cm)
   •   Ape Index: 0
   •   Legs (currently): 57% of your height
   •   Lengthening Plan: +8cm to femurs

After Lengthening:
   •   New Height: 6’1” (185.5 cm)
   •   Wingspan: Still 5’10” (178 cm)
   •   New Ape Index: -3.5 inches (a negative ape index)
   •   New Leg-to-Height Ratio: ~58.85%

Does This Look Weird?
   •   A -3.5” ape index is rare but not unheard of — especially in non-athletes.
People with ape indices from -2 to -4 inches do exist and can look totally normal depending on body type and proportions.
   •   Your arms will not look “T-Rex” unless other proportions (like shoulder width or upper arm length) are very short — which in your case, they are average, based on your photos.
   •   58.85% leg ratio is still within normal human variation, especially for someone tall — and well below the 60%+ range, which is where things begin to look off.

Summary Judgment:
   •   Visually Normal? Yes — you’ll still look balanced and normal, especially fully clothed.
   •   Ape Index Noticeable? Maybe to extremely trained eyes or shirtless in a very specific pose, but almost no one will consciously notice.
   •   Camera Friendly? Yes — you’ll look totally fine on TV or social media.

Good luck - your journal was a big inspiration for me to go through with the procedure. I remember I first started following way back in 2018. I went from 5'7 to slightly over 5'10 1/2. Keep us updated.

When will you have the 3rd round to get another 8cm on femur? Will you post your video on youtube?

I am awaiting for weight-bearing before I do around three

My life is already pretty good at 5’10 it’s not worth it to me to not be able to walk on a nonweightbearing now

But if weight-bearing makes a return, then I will do around three
Either way, I am already happy doing around three is more of a bonus

I’m sorry the video took so long
I probably could’ve posted this in 2021
But once you get back to normal life, you kind of forget about posting on here

I hope this video has inspired you, and proved to everyone. Specially the doubters that you can accomplish anything you set your mind to, so long as you choose a safe surgeon , and put in the work.

Great physique and impressive mindset. Reading your journey, I can tell it must have been tough even if you make it sound so easy.

Your proportions are surprisingly good with all that lengthening. Your young age surely helped your body to adjust the new biomechanics too (even with all your commitment).

This said, you escaped a bad infection the last time and being 6+ will get you out of proportion. Most girls suck at evaluating height, and at 5'10 you tower most of them, leaving them the impression you are a 6 foot tall already. You seem to be handsome, smart, wealthy and now tall :-) I would not go the extra mile. You'll get old one day and your body may not like a world record lengthening: health is your most precious asset. Chase your dream girl, live your life at the fullest. Don't fall for the perfect aesthetic crap, it's never ending... and losing battle!

Anyway, many thanks for documenting everything publicly, super inspiring. Let's hope one day full weight bearing come back at a cheaper price for us all short dudes outhere haha

Only those who risk going too far, can possibly find out how far one can go
I got one more round in me, waiting for Pmax then I will officially retire from LL

The journey from 5’5 —> 6’2 must go on
It is my destiny 🧘🏽‍♂️
