I was former gymnastic athlete, i was wondering if being able to do both front and lateral split was enough to prevent stiffness from LL, and if it will help recover faster

i have now decided to stop so it does not bother me if i can do flips anymore, i am 5ft6

It all depends on how you take care of yourself during lengthening.

I was able to do all that stuff before too.
I can still do most of it, on a good day.

I suggest you read Unicorn888's diary.  She was a former gymnast and is hyper-mobile (very flexible due to an inherited medical condition).  However, she still had soft tissue complications related to lengthening too much too fast - caused by runaway nail lengthening.
