Forums really slow?

Mine got slow for a few minutes and whenever I open a page in here it moves the page up once.

mines more like 5 seconds lag... otherwise its ok.. probably some cable problems (those undersea cables connecting continents together). either that or server overload.. or the server has some problems..

nope I used to have my own site....

usually you host it with a webhost and pay a flat fee every month, depending on how many GB of bandwidth you expect. lets say you pay $50 (which is typical), this is paid every month.

the web-host server will do their own periodic maintenance of the server. the server would not be located In my home, but at some web hosting company's location.

I used to own a forum. some forums have optimisiation tools to make it faster (smething like defragging your PC). after running optimisation/compression, the threads load faster. this is free, done thru the forum software, and can be done anytime it is needed.

since web traffic is not high, I doubt that this forum is hosted on its own dedicated server.
