Hi there,

Long time follower but first time poster. So I wanted to ask a silly question but how exactly are you all funding your LL surgery? What I mean is other than say personal funds/savings or maybe family savings are you using other methods like fundraising or loans or maybe insurance?

I totally forgot the costs that would be incurred regarding removal of the nails/devices and physiotherapy. I have enough to cover it but yeah I wanted to gauge what others have been doing etc.? Thanks.

I’m currently working a minimum wage job as a college student, and want to get surgery within a year or two of graduating, so I have just investing as much money as I can. I can’t give any specific investments because you should do your own research rather than taking some random dude on the internet’s recommendations, but I personally am investing in cryptocurrencies mainly.

Unless you are being left with $10k+ every month after living expenses, I think investing your money is the best way to come up with funding.

The way I did it was save 35% of the total amount I wanted for a personal loan, then applied for one from my bank. Once I could work again, I paid a portion of the loan monthly until it was entirely paid off.

Helps if your credit score is high, like in the 700s.
