Want to stay in Europe to lengthen femurs, is it worth saving up more money for Guichet, Kohne, Betz or will Giotikas get the job done safely?
Worth saving up the extra for stryde (€5000 I think link to giotikas’ prices wasn’t working last time I checked)?
And finally is betz the only one of these doctors who will lengthen over 8cm? I know stryde/precice maxes out at 8cm, does guichet’s procedure max out there too?
Don't even consider Guichet
Because of the unicorn case? That did sound bad but I wouldn’t want to discount all his years of experience because of one case although it did sound like he handled it badly.
Same doctor.

Still interested? He is an incompetent surgeon, period. Don't risk it. I've heard good things about Giotikas though.
Betz is probably decent but if you try to lengthen a lot like he allows it sort of becomes a gamble.
Pulmonary embolism sounds rough but I don’t know if anyone can save you from that. If I were to go with Betz I would only do 9cm anyway. Thanks for your input though I will think twice about guichet for sure, although I couldn’t really ascertain what went on in that article since it was more of an obituary, obviously sad and unfair for the victim.
I don't think he prescribes blood thinners like Paley does, that's why. It can surely be prevented with timely measures. Good luck on your journey.
Thanks, good luck to you too, I will definitely be taking whatever measures I can to avoid it.

I did stryde femurs with Dr Pili from Milan in late February, I'm about to end my distraction period, very happy with my results and price similar to Giotikas.
Betz and Guichet don't have much or any experience with Stryde..
Thanks for letting me know I will consider Pili. I was struggling to find his prices, and saw about €50000 for femurs with stryde. As far as I know betzbone is similar to stryde and can bear some weight, and allows a bit more lengthening so as it stands I might prefer that if the price was similar. With precice would I be in a wheelchair for a long time since it can’t bear much weight?
I don't know much about precice and if I'd be wheelchair bound for any significant amount of time I wouldn't even consider it because that would lengthen the recovery time a lot (muscle atrophy etc).
I compared the nails available and I went with stryde mainly for the comfort it brings and of course also cause it's weight bearing. LL involves a lot of pain and discomfort, sleepless nights, long recovery times etc. So when I learned that stryde can lengthen with a simple push of a button on the stryde remote controller as opposed to twisting my broken swollen sore legs in weird angles that many patients say can take up to 30 min to complete a mere 1 mm, I became very interested on stryde. Then I had to ask and Dr Pili also said that currently stryde is the best nail on the market.
Regarding the 8cm stryde limit, it's there for a good reason. I watched a presentation on youtube given by Dr Paley where he explained the 8cm limit was intentionally added to stryde because complications increase exponentially if you go over that amount. So for my case I actually saw that limitation as a plus, a sign that the manufacturer of the nail was really concerned about the results I'd get from it.
