It's pointless re-litigating your parents' decisions. Don't get stuck in the past as it cannot be changed. Think forward.
I have decided to:
1) Do LL and probably go the full 10cm in my femur to reach 5'11.
2) Not marry a short girl (5'6+) so my kids will never think like this. It is the only way to get rid of the short gene in my lineage.
