Hi everyone,

I'm 16 and 11 months old. The last time I grew was 11 months ago right when I turned 16 and I grew an inch. I am now almost certain that my growth plates are fused.

Should I see if HGH prescribed by a professional doctor is an option or just wait a year to get taller with Stryde?

The goal height is 188cm. I'm 175cm currently. Gender: male.

My first cousin who is 185cm (21 years old) has the exact same sitting height as me but just his legs are longer. I've noticed my arms are pretty long too, it's just my legs that are short.

I really want to get taller because all my friends and first cousins who are directly related to me are tall. Even my female cousins are 167 to 174cm tall.

If your growth plates are close to fused, then HGH isn't going to do anything for you and will just be a waste of money. If you're done growing, cosmetic lengthening is the only option for permanent height gain.

Best to see your physician and request a scan to determine your bone age to be sure.

Hgh won't give you 13cm thats for sure even if your plates are not completely closed (which at your age are probably closed). Also, I don't think any doctor would prescribe hgh at.your height.
Stryde also won't give you 13 cm unless you do 2 surgeries which is a joke at your height.

In a few words, 1.88 seems impossible.
Wait 2 years to see your final height and if you have the money and you still are 1.75, do 1 LL and consider yourself lucky at 1.82-3.

Get one surgery and don't be greedy. This surgery comes with a lot of drawbacks, getting two is just asking for trouble.

I'd recommend giving HGH a go atleast, I grew half an inch or so within months of the doc saying my plates are fused and I won't grow so maybe there is potential for an inch or so depending on your bone age. Keep your expectations to none and you won't be disappointed.

why is it a joke for my height? Am I too tall or too short for 13cm?

he meant you already within average range and have no need to get that much from limb lengthening I guess

You are too tall to consider 2 LLs.

Height is nor related to LL, people do LL when are not satisfied with their height.
One LL will not give him his expectations. Also, some people prefer to lengthen two segments.

The reason to do something so risky and with permanent disabilities (from minor to major) is to have a decent height which is something objective (up to a big point).
Thats what differentiates a sane person who does LL to a madman. Even an 1.90cm man could be not satisfied with his height, that doesn't mean that we should advice him to go to a psychiatrist rather than an LL surgeon.

So of course LL is related to the initial height of each one as all cosmetic surgeries has to do with the initial appearance of someone and thats the border between becoming better or a joke.
