I've smoked a good portion of my life and while I don't have asthma or COPD , my lung health is probably not the best.
I've already stopped as of last year, I want to get LL in a few months but i'm not sure if my lung health will affect the risks / complication rate of LL and if I'm even going to pass my pre op exam (pre op exam includes chest xrays)

Quote from: tallerwouldbenice on January 28, 2022, 02:11:03 AMI know that smoking is 100% forbidden while undergoing LL.
I'm a non-smoker but my doctor took a chest x-ray prior to surgery just to be sure. I suppose you could take one such x-ray on your own and send it to your prospective LL doctor to have your answer.
I've already stopped and surgery isn't until early July this year but I just meant overall lung health going into with all the years of smoking I have behind me (im 40)
